Debbie Salmon – Staff
Along with Tom Bass, Debbie runs the Adult Leagues during the Summer and Winter months. Debbie is our junior clinic coordinator. If you have a child and are looking for a clinic or tennis lesson, Debbie will find a clinic for you.

 

 

 

Richard Mothes- Assistant Manager/Tennis Professional

Rich has been with EHIT since 1996.  He played Division III tennis for Clarkson University and is a PTR certified Tennis Instructor.  As the head coach of East Hampton High School Boys Varsity Tennis Team for 2003-2005 the team won a Suffolk County Championship and was ranked in the top 3 teams in the North East.  With the Managing Partner Scott Rubenstein, he runs the day to day operations of the club.

 

Tom Bass – Tennis League Director
Tom Bass began his career as a league director in 1986, a graduate of Westhampton High School and Bryant College. EHIT was fortunate enough to get him on board in 1997. Tom’s no nonsense approach to league arranging is his trademark. He boasts that special feeling he gets from putting together the perfect foursome. He is runs our Winter and Summer leagues.

 

 

Lisa Jones – Adult Clinic Director
This will be Lisa’s 7th Summer as Adult Program Director at EHIT she gives the highest quality tennis instruction to enhance players mental and physical abilities on the court. She has over 25 years of teaching experience. Lisa has appeared numerous times in Tennis Magazine’s Instructional section and has several tips published. Former World Ranked Player ’83-90, Professional Tennis Instructor since ’82, Prince Tennis Advisory Staff, USPTR Certified Instructor since ’90,USRSA Member for ’92, ETA Award and Recognition 1998.

 

 

Dennis Ferrando – Junior Clinic Davis Cup Co-Director/Tennis Professional
Nationality: Phillipino/American, Born in the Phillippines, Graduated Riverhead High School, attended Syracuse University, and finished degree at Suny New Paltz. Bachelor Degree of Psycology/Child Psycology. Dennis runs our Tennis Aerobics Adult Clinics year round, AYP junior program in the summer and gives private tennis lessons.

 

 

Alfredo Barreto – Junior Clinic Davis Cup Co-Director/Tennis Professional
Top ranked player in his home country of Mexico. Played for the College of the Desert in California, and Texas A&M. Two time national champions. All American two year school player. Played Satellite tournaments in Mexico and Europe.

 

 

Matthew Rubenstein – Tennis Professional
Matt reached the Finals of the New York State Singles Championships, and played for the college of William an Mary. Matt was an All- American in High School, and was ranked #1 in the Eastern Section as a junior in the 18 and under division.

 

 

Tim Ross – Staff/Tennis Professional
Tim has been with EHIT for 7 years. He was born and raised in East Hampton. He is Tom’s right hand   man in assisting with his leagues, and manages the Racquet Club for the summer seasons.

 

 

 

Scott Rubenstein – Managing Partner
After 10 years of planning, EHIT became a reality in 1995. Scott has been the Managing Partner of EHIT since its inception. He began his tennis career at The Bayberry Tennis Club in Amagansett at the age of 9. Eventually, he became the Manager of Greenhollow Tennis Club, and then The Buckskill Tennis Club. Scott and his wife Holly have 3 children, who all have or are currently working at EHIT.

Armando Vuksonovic – Tennis Professional

Armando comes to EHIT from Argentina.  He is a graduate of Benedictine College, and is working towards his Master’s in Business Administration.  Currently, he is instructing weekends and holidays at the club, but will be back full time for the summer season.
